The Ceremony

Our Vows

Bryon's Vows

I, Bryon, take you Lisa to be my wife and soul mate. This is the very moment
I have been waiting for my entire life. I am so excited for us to start the
next chapter of our lives together. I am so incredibly in love with you.
Everything about you makes me a better person. Your determination and energy
bring me to heights I never thought imaginable. I'm making this promise to you to be
with you through thick and thin, through good and bad, through joy and sorrow.
When we are together, we can accomplish anything. I see your smile and it makes me
smile the biggest smile in the world. Lisa, I love you with all my heart and I always will.

Lisa's Vows

I, Lisa, take you Bryon as my husband. With you and the vows we share today -
all of my dreams have come true. Your humor, understanding, and honesty
are things I am so thankful for. You know how to lift me up and make me smile,
you do it every day. I know that there is no-one as perfect for me as you, and
riddled with my faults, I will try my best to be the woman you see in me.

Through all that life may send our way, I vow to stand by you and believe in you.
I promise to give 100% to our family and to be patient and understanding in all that I do.
I can't wait for the day when we can share in the joy of our children and I pledge
to be a loving mother to them.

This day is just the beginning of so many wonderful things to come. I look in your eyes
and I can see us when we're old and gray and still so much in love as we are right now.
You are my everything - my inspiration, my soul mate, and the love of my life.
I love you so much and I always will.

Ceremony Readings

An Apache Prayer

Now you will feel no rain,
For each of you will be shelter for the other.
Now you will feel no cold,
For each of you will be warmth to the other.
Now there is no loneliness for you,
For each of you will be the companion to the other.
Now you are two persons,
But there is only one life before you.
Go now to your dwelling,
To enter into the days of your life together.
And may your days be good and long upon the earth.

True Love

True love is a sacred flame
That burns eternally.
And none can dim its special glow
Or change its destiny.
True love speaks in tender tones
And hears with gentle ear,
True love gives with open heart
And true love conquers fear.
True love makes no harsh demands
It neither rules nor binds,
And true love holds with gentle hands
The hearts that it entwines.

Here's to Life - Song Sung at Ceremony by Alix Dvorak

English Translation

Thanks to life that has given me so much.
It has given me two eyes that when I open them
I can clearly tell the black from the white
The star-covered depths of the beautiful sky
And the one that I love among all the crowd.

Thanks to life that has given me so much.
It has given me sound and letters
And with it the words I think and speak
Family, friends and even the light that brightens
The way of the soul of the one that I love.

Thanks to the life that has given me so much.
It has given me the step when my feet are tired
With them I walk through cities and puddles,
Beaches and deserts, mountains and plains
And to the house and courtyard of my beloved.

Thanks to life that has given me so much
It has given me laughter and tears
So I can tell happiness from grief
The two things my song is made of.
Thanks to life for giving me the one I love.
